St. Joseph’s School, Paren, established in the the year, 2006 is a co- educational English institution run by the cluny sisters. We run classes from L.K.G up to class X, rendering education in both curricular and co- curricular activities. Education as a tool of human development has undergone a drastic conceptual transformation both in terms of general curricula, teaching methodology, scope and application. As said, education is a life long process from womb to tomb. Education means all round development of personality, i.e mental, physical and spiritual. Keeping the present scenario in mind and following the rapid changes that are taking place in the field of education in the 21st century, our school has not slag behind in any field. Looking at the present educational scenario we equally give importance to both bookish knowledge along with extra co- curricular activities like games and sports, orientation programme, seminars, cultural programmes, educational tours, music class, etc. Apart from football, cricket and Karate we have introduced games like basketball , table tennis and many more indoor games in our school. And our school participates in Basketball and football tournaments organized by schools like St. Augustine’s School, kalimpong , Namchi Public School,etc. We are also proud to have secured 100% success in the first two Madhyamik Examination(2012 &2013) produced by our school, the highest result secured being Amrit Sharma 72% and Mayuri Bitha 75%.
